Honoured to Share a Proud Moment for Appropriate Technology India (AT India)
At the 15th International Conference on Sustainable Waste Management & Circular Economy and IPLA Global Forum 2025, Appropriate Technology India (ATIndia) was honoured with the Corporate Excellence Award in Environmental Stewardship. This recognition highlights our continued commitment to sustainable development, environmental management, and community-centred innovation in the #Himalayan region.
The conference, co-organized by #UNCRD-DSDG / #UN DESA, Graphic Era Deemed to be University(GEU), the International Society of Waste Management, Air and Water (ISWMAW), and the Institute for Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), brought together more than 400 participants from 39 countries, including policymakers, scientists, industry leaders, and development practitioners. Over three days, the Forum served as a global platform to exchange advanced knowledge, best practices, and collaborative strategies for waste reduction, circular economy, climate action, and sustainable development.
We are proud that Mr. Atul Jain, Chief Financial Officer of AT India, received the award on behalf of the organisation. Prof. S. P. Singh (President) and Dr. Rajesh Naithani (Secretary), both Board Members of AT India, along with Mr. Sanjay BIsht, Executive Director, were present at the event, reaffirming our leadership’s dedication to advancing impactful environmental initiatives. The award was presented by Hon. Minister of Forests, Languages and Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand, Mr. Subodh Uniyal
This recognition strengthens our resolve to advance sustainable waste management, promote resource-efficient solutions, and continue empowering mountain communities through science, technology, and inclusive development.
We extend our gratitude to the organisers, partners, and experts whose collective efforts make such global platforms possible. AT India remains committed to contributing to the Jaipur Declaration (2025–2035) and furthering the vision of a clean, resilient, and low-carbon future.
